When we begun creating the preliminary task we had little knowledge on film making and techniques to make it look like a real media product. However from analysing many other professionally made opening title sequences it gave a much better knowledge on how it should all look because of how I looked at the titles, shots and music. By analysing official titles in real films I learned that, in the preliminary, our title didnt look very professional because it was a default text and we just added a black outer glow to it. This meant that in our actual film I tried to make them look more professional by using a different font, making the positioning so it doesnt overlap with anyting and also adding effects to the titles and text. I feel like I have more knowledge on how to make titles look better in the film after improving from the preliminary task.

We have improved on our editing skills because when I created the preliminary task I didnt know about all the effects I could use. This means that we only used one minor effect which was slow motion, this massively improved when I created the final opening title sequence because of looking at video tutorials and being taught about After Effects and Premier Pro. I then added effects to this such as the posterize effects on certain parts of the video to create the feel of it being in a video game.

I think that from the preliminary, I have learnt many different and interesting techniques of filming, editing and developing. When creating the preliminary I was unsure on how to film and make each and every shot look effective, however from practising this it meant that in the actual film I had learned how to make every shot to look better.
