What kind of media instituition might distribute your media product and why?
The film distributors that we are going to use are the Entertainment Film Distributors as this is a british film company therefore they will have experience and they would know what to do when it comes to distributing our film to an audience only in the UK. This company distributed films such as the Lord of the Rings and Se7en which turned out to be films that made a lot of grosss profit overall.
Our global film distributors would be Warner Bros as they are a large and famous distribution company that are known for their films' success and they also have had some british films that have become much larger films from being distributed by Warner Bros, an example of one of the films is all of the Harry Potter films, this was a british film then beause it was globally distributed by warneer bros it became a very successful film overall.
This company would distribute our film by using the newer technologies such as allowing the film to be streamed online on websites like Netflix or Lovefilm as this is a more effective way of making money than selling DVDs since they have become less and less popular in the past few years due to the fact more and more people are watching or downloading films throguh the internet

Vertigo films are a small British film distribution company founded in 2002 which means that it is fairly new compared to other distrubtion companies, thi means that it could be more advanced with newer technologies when it came to distributing the film, for example they could first advertise it on social media with sponsored trends rather than older companies who could advertise it on a bilboard in the street. They have also previously synergised with Warner Bros before with the film 'The Firm' which means that it could be easier when it comes to synergising with them for our film if it becomes successful enough for a global distributor.
This is an even smaller British distrubtion company and it is known for finding independant smaller British films which therefore makes it perfect for ours. It is also know as Britians leading film distributor and I think that this company would good for distributing our film however we are going to use Entertainment Film Distributors as this is a much larger, well known company that is very good at allowing their films to be noticed and knows how to keep up to date with their use of social media and technologies for distribution. An example of this is one of Curzon's films called 'AntiChrist' created in 2009 had no social media accounts whereas with EFD, the film '17 Again', also made in 2009, has a Facebook page with almost 6 million likes as well as a popular twitter hashtag that was '#17Again'.
